Marketing Co-ordinator


We are looking for a part-time Marketing Officer to develop and implement marketing strategies that raise awareness of our organisation and activities.

Hours: Approx. 15 hours per week. Days and hours to be agreed. Weekend and evening work occasionally needed.

Rate: £15.00 per hour

Location: Hybrid; Remote and on site at Art in the Docks

Reporting to: Creative Producer

Role Description

This is a freelance opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator. As a Marketing Officer with Art in the Docks (AitD), you will develop and implement marketing strategies to raise awareness of our organisation and activities and increase our engagement with both new and existing audiences.

You will develop a range of marketing assets and manage their dissemination through a range of on- and offline channels, working closely with our internal team to ensure that our marketing is engaging,

accurate, and aligned with our brand.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop content for - and manage - social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn )

  • Using Squarespace, develop fresh content for and manage the upkeep of the AitD website

  • Work closely with internal team to plan and generate content calendars for social and web

  • Assist with the design and distribution of flyers and brochures re our projects and communicating our corporate impact

  • Be the marketing point of contact for our stakeholders including local community groups and charities to amplify our messages

  • Attend AitD events and take pictures and videos

  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with GDPR, charity, and fundraising legislation

  • Attend training courses and support wider fundraising events and shows

  • Track marketing and social media data to produce reports to track campaign success

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and writing skills

  • Experience in sales and event planning

  • Proficiency in project management

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Familiarity with the arts sector is a plus

  • Ability to follow briefs carefully and to be proactive when necessary

  • Commitment to Art in the Docks’ grassroots vision and mission

  • Motivated by teamwork and contributing to a shared vision

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
