Amelia Akiko Frank

Amelia Akiko Frank is an artist from New York now based in London. Through a research-based process rooted in the language of drawing, she unpacks how history and national mythologies are aesthetically constructed and symbolically marked, seeking the flaws, loopholes, and exclusions in systems of control.

Amelia holds an MFA from Goldsmiths, where she was awarded the Almacantar Studio Award, and BAs in Visual Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Chicago, where she was awarded the Louis Sudler Prize. She has shown in London, New York, Chicago, and Bangkok, and is currently a Junior Fellow on the MFA at Goldsmiths.
