Our Mission and Vision

Art in the Docks exists to make creativity accessible to all, using the arts to support wellbeing, connection, and personal growth. We work with diverse communities, schools, and partners to deliver inclusive, high-quality creative programmes that empower individuals, strengthen local identity, and transform shared spaces. Through collaboration and participation, we enable people to express themselves, build confidence, and feel a sense of belonging.

Art in the Docks is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all participants. We take safeguarding seriously and have robust policies and procedures in place to protect children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

All staff and facilitators are appropriately trained and vetted, and we work in line with current safeguarding legislation and best practice. We promote a culture of care, trust, and accountability, ensuring that everyone can take part in our activities safely and with confidence.

Art in the Docks celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming space for all. We actively work to remove barriers to participation, ensuring our programmes are accessible regardless of background, identity, or ability.

We value and respect different perspectives, cultures, and experiences, and believe creativity should be representative, equitable, and open to everyone. Our work is shaped by the communities we serve, fostering a sense of belonging and shared ownership.
