Exhibitions

Art in the Docks supports participants to share their work through a range of accessible exhibition opportunities. Within its own space, artists are guided to curate, present, and install their work, building confidence and professional skills.

  • Art in the docks creates pathways into local gallery spaces, helping participants take part in group exhibitions and public showcases. This enables emerging artists to gain visibility, celebrate their achievements, and connect with wider audiences beyond the studio.

  • Participants respond to exhibition opportunities at Art in the Docks with pride, excitement, and increased confidence. Many describe a strong sense of achievement in seeing their work displayed publicly, often for the first time.

Taking part in exhibitions helps individuals feel valued and recognised as artists, while sharing their work with others builds confidence and encourages continued creative practice. Participants frequently feel motivated to develop their skills further and pursue new creative opportunities.

  • Exhibition opportunities through Art in the Docks lead to increased confidence, creative development, and a sense of achievement. Participants gain experience in presenting and curating their work, while building a portfolio and professional skills.

These experiences foster greater self-belief, motivation, and wellbeing, and can open pathways into further exhibitions, education, or creative careers, helping individuals see themselves as active and valued contributors to the arts.
