Christopher Mike
From North Wales to the North Pole, Christopher Mike is an adventurer at heart with a deep love of the natural world. His art is defined by his passion for life and a relentless desire to capture the essential atmosphere of a place and time.
Not just an artist, Christopher is the founder and director of Art in the Docks. Leveraging the experiences of a long cross-sector career, he provides input and direction in:
• Arts, social impact, and community development
• Creative economy and cultural policy
• Placemaking and access to the arts for underserved communities
“Working with Art in the Docks has allowed me to use arts as a tool for social change, particularly in diverse and underrepresented communities where people frequently feel that the world of art and culture is ‘not for them’.
Many people travel through life without ever finding something that feels truly and genuinely purposeful to them. It is my great privilege to be involved with Art in the Docks and the dedicated and principled people who help to shape it. The knowledge that we improve the lives of other people, and the journey that we are on together, is my reward.”
