Dr Paul Gilluley
Strategic Advisor – Community Health & Engagement
CHeX Newham (Creative Health Exchange) is pleased to welcome Dr Paul Gilluley to its Advisory Panel.
Dr Gilluley is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and serves as Chief Clinical and Quality Commissioning Officer for NHS North East London Integrated Care System, providing strategic leadership across one of the largest and most diverse health systems in the country.
Throughout his career, Dr Gilluley has maintained a longstanding interest in the role of arts and creativity in supporting mental health, wellbeing and recovery. He has worked alongside artists and cultural organisations to explore how creative practice can improve outcomes for patients, enhance staff wellbeing and contribute to more compassionate models of care.
As a Champion of the National Centre for Creative Health, Dr Gilluley is a recognised advocate for the integration of creative approaches within health systems. His work reflects a belief that arts and culture can play an important role in building resilience, strengthening communities and supporting the health and wellbeing of local residents.
His involvement brings valuable clinical insight and strategic healthcare leadership to the development of CHeX, helping to strengthen the connection between grassroots creative activity, community wellbeing and emerging health pathways across Newham and beyond.
