Half-Term Session: Haunted House Cards

  • Art in the Docks 25 Shackleton Way London United Kingdom (map)

Family Half-Term Drop In Session

Join this playful, family friendly two-hour seasonal card-making workshop, inviting children and adults to create their own fold-out haunted house cards inspired by spooky houses, crooked rooftops and Halloween characters.

Using card, paper, collage materials and simple decorative details, participants can build a house that opens to reveal ghosts, bats, windows, doors and other suitably spooky surprises. Designs can be as simple or elaborate as participants like, making the activity suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities.

The session will run on a drop-in basis, allowing families to arrive at any point during the two-hour period and stay for as long as they need to complete their card. Artists will be on hand throughout to demonstrate folding and construction techniques, provide inspiration and help participants develop their own individual designs.

No previous art or craft experience is needed, and younger children can work alongside a parent or carer.

These workshops are funded by Newham’s People Powered Places and supported by the Notting Hill Genesis Love While You Live Fund and Royal Docks Trust.

We thank them for their continued support in making these workshops possible.
